What we do

Nutropia Poultry & Feed PLC is establishing a compound poultry and dairy feed mill at Chefe Nanu Kebele, Angolela & Tera Woreda, North Shewa Zone, Amhara Region, on the Addis Ababa–Debre Birhan highway. The plant is a single-line mash plant, modular by design. Planned products are layer, broiler, pullet and dairy cattle mash, sold in 50 kg bags.

Stage

Pre-operational. The plant is not yet producing. Product registration under EAA Directive 995/2024 and the Certificate of Competence under Proclamation 728/2011 Art. 19 are not held. We make no product claims and publish no nutrient specifications until that position changes.

How we intend to operate

These are commitments drawn from our operating manual, not results:

  • A moisture check on every raw-material intake.
  • Aflatoxin screening of maize and oilseed cake.
  • Batch traceability — every bag traceable to its batch.
  • Scales calibrated on schedule.
  • Dry storage on pallets, off the floor and away from walls.

Market context

Under the Yelemat Tirufat programme, day-old chick distribution rose from 26 million to over 180 million, egg production from 3.2 billion to 11.7 billion, and poultry meat production from 90,000 t to 253,000 t.
